ZYmaXX® Waste optimises the biological degradation of waste substrates.
This improves the overall process efficiency, reduces the strain on plant equipment and increases the economic returns.
While process stability is not an end goal, it is a natural by-product.
Today, waste digestion plants face ever-greater biological challenges:
Fluctuating substrate mixtures, high organic loads, short retention times and increasing cost pressures. Technical interventions often only solve these problems in the short term, as the root cause is biological.
With the ZYmaXX® Waste power combination, we have developed a combined product tailored to the specific digestion process.
ZYmaXX® Waste power combination:
Each system combines high-performance enzyme complexes with highly available trace nutrients – tried and tested in practice, easy to integrate and consistently designed for efficiency, cost-effectiveness and process stability.
For waste digestion plants (continuous wet digestion)
Economic benefits
How it works
In continuously operated waste digestion plants, the efficiency of biological degradation is a key factor determining the yield, process stability and technical load. If organic components are broken down only slowly or incompletely, this creates biological bottlenecks that directly impact the gas yield, energy consumption and plant mechanics.
The ZYmaXX® Waste power combination addresses precisely this issue. The ZYmaXX® Waste and ZYmaXX® Waste Pro enzyme components break down hard-to-reach substrate components swiftly and evenly. When supplemented with highly available trace nutrients from TREmaXX® Waste, microbial metabolic processes are supported more effectively. Acids and hydrogen are converted more efficiently and methane production is maintained at a stable level.
Result
An overall more efficient biological process with higher gas yields, lower mechanical stress and significantly reduced susceptibility to faults.
Process stability is a natural consequence of optimised material turnover and forms the basis for sustainable, cost-effective plant operation.
For garage-style fermentation (batch-type dry digestion)
Economic benefits
How it works
Garage-style fermentation in box digesters places particular demands on the biological process. High dry matter content, structurally stable fibres and batch-fed start-ups that use the existing oxygen levels in the substrate often delay the onset of biological activity and reduce the efficiency of the gas production.
The ZYmaXX® Waste Box power combination specifically addresses these issues. The ZYmaXX® Waste Box and ZYmaXX® Waste Box Pro enzyme components accelerate the breakdown of complex organic structures while simultaneously supporting early biological oxygen consumption. TREmaXX® Waste Box provides highly available trace nutrients to guide the microbial metabolic processes. Dosage via the percolate ensures that the active ingredients are evenly distributed throughout the entire batch.
Result
An overall more efficient batch process with earlier methane formation, more uniform substrate degradation and higher gas production throughout the entire retention time.
Improved process stability and operational reliability are a natural consequence of the more efficient biological conversion, forming the basis for economically stable and predictable digester fermentation.
The ZYmaXX® Waste power combinations are designed for easy and safe integration into existing plant concepts, without the need for complex technical modifications or disrupting ongoing operations. The focus here is not on short-term adjustments, but on optimising the biological process in the long term.
The systems are tailored to the specific operating conditions of each plant, including the substrate structure, organic dry matter, operating mode and digestion process. This ensures that biological digestion takes place efficiently, enabling it to realise its full economic potential.
As every waste or garage-style digestion plant has different requirements, we deliberately focus on providing individual consultation rather than blanket, standardised solutions. We work closely with plant operators to select the right system and tailor its application to the specific process objectives – with a clear focus on efficiency, cost-effectiveness and long-term stable operation.
